I think the same, Cherno would be my first choice too. Heard good things about Lingor so i will have a look at it. When most of people want to play cherno it will be cherno even when i want lingor. But by now it don't think so.
Yup. Good old Chernarus is simply perfect. It`s big enough for all and the cities are well placed. But still enough free room for buildings. A much bigger map like Lingor means more land without structures. So you`ll be running half an hour without finding anything^^ ..
Well, okay, i checked out the Lingor map and i have to say that it's eye candy. Its tropical based with tropical sound effects as well. Much water and most of areas are very hilly. Unfortunately this map isn't very suitable for Epoch. Nevertheless i made a few screenshots and a little video clip of my first and probably last visit in Lingor.
So my mind is quite made up! The server will have Chernarus map!
Thank you for the impressions of Lingor. And i have to say yeah, its really cute tho. This Arab-style is cool too. I dunno if its positive or negative that less people know where the loot houses are. Know what i mean? .. In Chernarus i´m running around an see that red house, or an apartement and know exactly thats a residental loot building, and now there are many new houses so i`m asking myself.. is that good or bad, i mean it´s cool that everyone can explore the new things on the map and such things, but on the other side less people will know the map and either the buildings, so they`ll searching till they die .. It´s just my opinion and i`m glad, that Lingor does not fit well with Epoch

First i was excited about the unusual sound effects blending in very well to the scenery. Even that one of the birds sounds like a budgie. The water colors are also very lovely as you can see at the screenshots.
But, my intension was to check out potential building areas which have to be as flat as possible for epoch. Even when i found some, they were cluttered with small plants...
For vanilla Dayz it would be a great map and worth consideration to buy a boat

Before, on the bartertown epoch server, me, blakefly, engie, hex, and snow were building a base together by a dirt road close to stary. It turns out, when you build something, it gets rid of the plants there, and replaces it with the building material (eg. wood, stone, blah blah) But, I will suggest you take some vanilla ArmA 2 scripts and add, maybe, a aircraft carrier or a little island off the coast of electro. But! This is also where a heli-vehicle lift would come in really handy, due to the fact that you could create your own little private admin base. Just a suggestion.
