I thought I post what I went through the last days...
With the last update the EDEN EDITOR was released. As you know I spent months with the 2D editor long time ago. It was a pain to place stuff accurate and it never went fast. Eden Editor is a milestone and a pleasure to use.
Playing around with it I found out that it's possible to build on and under water without much affort! I thought AWESOME, WOW, THAT'S SO COOOOOL, now I can create the stuff I wanted already years ago! I started immediately and built a huge submarine hangar with some narrow pathways and big halls to swim through up to the top which lay above sea level (with roof of course) to place a weapon crate so it can be accessed. I placed my creation in deep water and forgot that almost any parts having no texture at the bottom. You could see and swim inside from below. Okay, so I turned some parts by 180 degree and stuck them together. Problem solved. I tested to implement AI diver groups and they worked fine! (only 1 BE filter needed) After converting the data and testing it, I got a liiiittle bit upset, because the parts I turned upside down were not converted....simply missing.
Well, okay. Started completely new, took some other parts placed them onto the sea ground...but...after converting the parts they where not in place anymore. Fuck this shit...I want my underwater mission!!!
So, I thought again about my intention of my underwater treasure hunt, which I had to give up. (no gear access underwater) Only way to get this working is TOWING, which I never wanted, because it makes things too easy imo. But well, okay. I had again a look at this script and finally with some problems and a handful tweaks I got it working. A lot of battleeye filters needed (done)...but I still have to define which vehicles can tow and which can be towed. RF3 is not only towing. Players can grab weapon crates and carry them around. When I tested this and grabed a box underwater and dropped it on the shore...I got wet pants. That's what I wanted!!! Now we can have underwater missions the way I wanted them!!! Players also can place crates into cars or lift them with a heli. Another thing I will look into next is the possibility to place furniture with this script. Very nice feature...
I still have the Sector B on my roadmap. It's a really huge thing I'm creating but I guess I will do some other things meanwhile, so I put it on hold for now.
I see that the temperature thing is in full effect now and I have to admit I am not a fan (been afk for some days). Is this something you are still adjusting or is this finalized ?
Personally I think this its kind of unnecessary to add this but just my humble opinion
Well, the idea with the temperature isn't bad at all. I like realistic settings and weather is a part of it. But the settings the server is using right now isn't final. Atm you have an average temperature drop of -20° I will change it to -15° which will be a good average setting

Sounds good, I was a bit worried as i dropped really fast even when clothed inside our base. How much can u drop before u start losing health ? Im not completely against it but with all other things u have to worry about if it dropped too fast i feel would be no bueno:) I appreciate the fact you are open for feedback and dont take it as bad mouthing ur server, very refreshing
I have no clue how cold you have to be before you loose health.
And yes, I like to get a feedback for the server. Positive or negativ. I think I have a good sense for setting things up, but overall it's better getting several opinions for the best result
I was just wondering about the "radioactive" zone added to the map. In my opinion having it in Pyrgos is not so good as its where alot of players parachute in as bambis, wouldnt it be better to have it close to the trader as people could aquire the gas masks ?
Of course I have somewhat of a personal issue with this as I love going to pyrgos when Im alone and having a little shootie shoot with the AI as they seem to be quite active there.

Well, first of all radiation is only within the marker, so bambies should be fine. I know that many peeps go looting there, that's why I have chosen this spot Well, I dunno why so many players are against this radiation feature, I really like it. Maybe I played A2 Dayz Epoch for too long. I mean I like survival games. But okay, I bow to the majority and will remove it again.

I might just not be used to the whole radiation feature..as Ive said I by no means mean to be negative or complaining about it but again I really do appreciate the time, effort and dedication put in the server so it was just a toss up for discussion amongst the players on your server

Yes, server population rised in the last days again. But unfortunately that rises and drops over and over again. But overall I'm pleased with the amount and server rank.
After 4 months of installing, adjusting and tweaking my work on this server is drawing to an end...
Now I'm itching to raise the survival server I told some of you already.
Some basic data of what it will be:
Namalsk Map with extreme conditions like low temperature and snow. Radiation spots, zeds (zombies), low amount of food. Dogs for taming. Animals for hunting and getting food.
It will be a true survival setting, exactly the opposite of the actual server. Will start my work soon on it...
