One word to thievery...

...as the ingame message warns you: We cannot prevent thievery, so hide your shit or lock it away!

PLEASE, don't leave your briefcases, gold or other stuff of value in unsecured places like tens or cars!
When you don't have a secure place (like a safe) and you log out, place that stuff in your inventory or backpack so nobody will be able to touch it !!
I'm able to give stuff back to peeps, but it's not my chief task to do that, when you don't lock it away!
Otherwise it's a lot of work to search the database for stuff you lost and to handle out who might has taken it.

So simply don't afford thieves an opportunity to steal your stuff!

Notice that there are many AI bandits around the map which may look like players.
Unfortunately the kill messages we had on the server don't work anymore after the last patches.
If you are not sure if it was a player or an AI bandit, go to a trader and look at the kill message boards you will find there.
In the case of PVP simply report the name to an admin and that player get a permanent ban.
