So the mod change is fulfilled, it was done in only 10-15 minutes.
After it I got a message in the ACP that the server files are restricted atm.
The answer from vilayer after I submitted a ticket about this was:

It didn't take 30 minutes and we had a handful of players on the server.
Over several hours we had about 10 players online.
This quick rise of players shows that this mod is popular for a reason...

Night is very hard. I died before through an infection and had no flashlight, no flares or glow sticks....nothing. I didn't see a shit and stumbled along the beach only hearing at the sound of my feed walking through the water to find my way eastwards unless I saw a light in the distance...I reached Balota and found a flashlight, also some new stuff and finally reached Cherno. The adventure of struggling for survival continued...Furthermore the new sounds of rain and thunder gave a dense and creepy experience of an unprecedented gameplay...
Overall it's hard, I like it this way, that's how a survival game should be!
And it's much fun to discover all the new stuff and what to do with it.

Ok so i spent some time on the new Mod (5 hours) I enjoy the start of the starting and having to gear up, its a bitch finding gear, hidden in boxes, lockers and desks. But didn't find the Zeds to hardcore tbf took a few hits and seemed normal so not sure if there set diffrent on that server to the one Stoll played on.

Lots of new gear which is cool, still unsure about the car system as it seems u can not lock them, so ASBOs will be able to take them, and u have to save your car which i think is so it stays in game when comes to clear ups

Zeds are not the same here.
They occur more in groups now and are more aggressive and also can hit you on a greater distance. When they hit you you loose an amount of blood and starting to bleed is more seldom.

Of course cars cannot be locked anymore, it's not Epoch.
You will have the possibility to build a fence around your base buildings including a gate that only can be accessed by yourself. Already found a lock. Inside you can park your car then. That's what I understood so far about this.

To prevent stealing of cars, we can act this way: You found a car?
Tell me about and I get the Object ID from the database for it.
So it can be easily found when it was stolen.

Some peeps may think that it's too hard...keep going and get used to it.
You need the will to survive and never give up. I was shortly before stumbling in the darkness and made it after all...
I guess this mod will get not so fast boring as Epoch...

True, that's a problem and only a relog will solve it.
Fortunately a relog is done within some seconds, sometimes it's annoying but I guess it's something we can live with at the moment.
All better as waiting 5 minutes to log in...

There are 2 places so far that seem to be bugged when you drive in with a car: The prison (warehouse) between Electro and Cherno and Balota (Airfield)
Cars will vanish, so don't approach those spots with a car!
I would like to repeat, as the BEC messages are also popping up about this, not to build in citys or inside/near buildings. Your stuff may vanish as it did in a specific case.

When you heed this advice all should be fine. I didn't recognized any other problems so far.

Actually I'm trying to find out how the maintaining is set up.
On tents and cars it's clear. If you "save" them, the datestamp gets updated, preventing the possible deletion.
Base buildings have an own maintain row in the database.
[["maintain"],[4]] in this example i maintained my campfire 4 times.
Didn't recognized yet if that number will countdown somehow.

Good thing with this mod is, that player built stuff is bound to the Character ID, which means I can simply identify who built what and where.
At Epoch it was complete different and very tricky to find out who built it.

To put it straight, I've been pleased with this mod and also about the high population within 2 days we're running it.
Population wasn't that high in a long time, not at Epoch Chernarus neither Sauerland. Particularly over a long period.
This mod attracts many new players and some seems to love this mod and are willing to stay.

Yo, folks, beside the 2 car eating hotspots, I discovered myself some crosspurposes in basebuilding within Aftermath, also stuff vanished from my tent.
I don't want to amplify this anymore, I guess Gareth is right to think about another map change. Before we changed to Aftermath I ogled already with the map Panthera.

I guess this should be our choice for now, as we hadn't this map before and we are all sick of cherno.

I started already on map change preparations and I guess it will be done quickly.
Finally we are going back to Epoch also with this map, because I want the possibility for you to secure your stuff. (vaults e.a.)
In a break from tradition with much stuff around I will limit the stuff traders will sell and buy. I also will modify the vehicles that will spawn.
Adding the usual scripts of course.

An alternativ could be to run only DayZ Panthera without Epoch.
In edition with the key script it would be possible to lock spawned vehicles, but I guess there would be no chance of storing stuff in vaults, neither base building would be available.

I will start a survey about this.

I'm still open for suggestions.
However, I will have a look at Panthera and also Napf to get an impression.

I'm on the run atm together with david.
Just saw Panthera. Beautiful hills and landscape.
A pain to drive there, but an awesome map for low flight through the valleys.
But this guy used some bridges who are only "texture" (I know them from the editor) and you cant cross them.
So, overall, what a pitty, it's still a nice map, it will not be my choice...

Next I will checkout Napf...David said this one is better.
Will keep you informed...

The comparison has paid off

I visited Napf and well...

...it's really the most beautiful map I've ever seen so far!
It begins with the forests, there are not only loveless placed trees.
No, there are bushes and little rocks between the trees.

Moreover the towns...the way of the buildings were placed makes sense and they are lovingly placed with much effort for details.
I also appreciate that almost any buildings that are available in the editor (and meanwhile I know them almost all) were placed around the map. Also the ones with the doorbells and some few which were new to me.
There are little villages and some few bigger citys.
The bigger ones are not so cluttered like the ones at Sauerland.
All fits in the general view.

My first impression is (of course I didn't see all places yet) that there is a little of each. I also appreciate that there are several islands.

My first idea was again (I plan this already for a long time) to rebuild a kind of Sector B like some of you know from Origins.

Last thing to mention at this point is it's size, almost the same as Sauerland...

I have big plans with this map and I'm sure you will love Napf.

I guess I will start with installation already tomorrow, but will lock the server over the next dayz until all work is done. I guess we can start at oncoming weekend.
It's again and again much fun to set up new things and I guess with every try I get better.
